Milk

This milk can is based on the hidden milk cans found under the Warsaw Ghetto, which were filled with documentation of the destruction of Jewish life in Warsaw.

Normally, milk cans evoke a vessel used for nourishment; in contrast, these scorched and tarnished cans, provided eyewitness accounts to the destruction of a people. However, this recreation is filled with stories, and its exterior is wrapped with pre-war photos of survivors of the Holocaust whom I had the pleasure of interviewing and befriending.
