Many of the pieces I created in this section focus on the joy and whimsy I found in being a mother.

The dimensional and multi-level tiles I create capture intimate snapshots--moments in which one might see a mother cradling a child through a window, or rocking her baby on a porch.

some of the pieces are about transitioning from one stage of parenting to the next, while others grapple with the idealization of feminine roles and the expectations we place on mothers.
